I had to go in and pee in a cup this morning for a drug test for my internship. The woman told me not to flush the toilet or wash my hands when I was done and then I should bring my cup to this one office first and THEN I could wash my hands.
I've been thinking about this all morning; trying to figure out the reason for this! I'm probably the most naive person when it comes to anything drug related, by the way. ![]()
I thought maybe the handwashing thing was just so I don't wash my hands and then get them gross again carrying the cup back to her office?
Is the no-flushing-the-toilet thing so they can tell if I somehow used someone else's pee?
Re: Drug testing question..
they want to make sure you dont use the hot water in the sink or toilet water to warm up the sample or to dilute it. people are gross and utterly disgusting and dishonest and try everything to pass the urine samples. i used to have to collect these when i worked HR and let me tell you, i always KNEW when someone was going to fail a test. they ALWAYS had too many questions and were WAY to nervous.
and you would not believe how many men i had to tell to go wash their hands after. ugh ?
I'm having a hard time getting past the no hand washing thing.. only cause I can imagine that door knob.
What they said.
I've also had to do one where I had a choice of leaving the door opened and someone standing outside of it or someone who was in the bathroom (always the same sex of the person) wahoo. Usually they don't WATCH you while you pee but they're in the room with you so that you can't take as much time or mess around too much.
OMG I know! I scrubbed my hands sooo hard when I get back into that office and could finally wash them!
The nurse that was doing the test for me went in there after I was done to "clean" everything (not sure if that means actually cleaning or going in there to prove it was my own pee). Hopefully she at least disinfects the door handle!
