back into the groove....

sorta....did this morning anybody else like a ton of bricks?

Hope everyone had a great weekend. DH's cousin got engaged over the weekend so it's now it's "official" that we're going to Maui in January!! We're very excited about that. Had a fabulous weekend at the coast at an amazing rental, made it hard to come back to our little house...lol

Have a happy Monday...at least what's left of it!

  • It was actually a relief to come back to work (see post above) but then again I didn't get to go on vacation.  This weekend was so beautiful, a trip up the cost had to be fabulous.  Glad you had fun.
  • Glad you had a wonderful time Natalie!!   :)  We tried a little camping, but kinda got snowed on so....needless to say we came back home.

Hope the rest of the week goes by quickly for you all!  :)

  • Yay for Maui!!

Today is tough for me - sunday night had an overnight flight home from Lima, and the cat needs lots of attention after we've been gone. She insisted on sleeping on my chest last night and frequently woke up and walked around on me.

  • I am not back in the groove. Maybe it's a combo of PMS and being unreasonable but... well ok... so I know DH is stressed about his new position at work. It's a lot of responsibility, he's the only IT guy now, & he's never been in this position before. So, ok yes - he's stressed. I understand. He didn't want to do anything all weekend. I know long weekends are few & far between, I know he wanted to relax this weekend... but, not do anything?! Really! We started the demo on our bathroom on Saturday, but after that he didn't want to do anything. It was getting quite annoying to be honest. Yesterday I asked him if we could either hang new drapes in the living room, or if he could help unload my car. I brought a big load of left over things home from my parents house (books, shoes, keepsakes). Instead he took a nap on the couch and I had to unload my car by myself. Sure, not a huge deal - but I specifically asked him to help. It just bothers me when he acts like he's too stressed out to function. Ugh.

I will also add that in his defense to being stressed over work - since the other IT guy left they had to change ALL the passwords for EVERYTHING in the company. It's a security thing. That included everyone's personal p/w for certain things. There were some glitches, and he ended up working on several problems over the weekend. And his boss is the kind of guy who is like "OMG! PROBLEM! FIX NOW!" and he says that about everything. So... yeah.

    Whatever. Still annoying.

  • I'm so glad today is almost over... Work was craaaazy since we were closed yesterday. I'm thankful for the short week though!
