Re: How was your weekend?
Mine was kind of boring but included:
Seeing Iron Man 2, going to a birthday party and eating late night Taco Bell, garage sales, shopping, watching 500 Days of Summer (so cute), gardening, going on a 6 mile hike, and seeing the neices for a little bit.

My 101
Great Weekend!
Saturday: Nephew's 4th Birthday Party
Sunday: Pool day w/ H, bbq, and drinking
Monday: Pool day w/ H & Friends, bbq, and more drinking
I'm a little red and surprisingly not hungover today!
Mine was Busy Busy!! But gorgeous weather, so no complaints!
Friday: Went out to dinner up by the lake to a place that was supposed to be awesome but we weren't that crazy about it. Didn't help that a waiter spilled water all over the lady at the table next to us and she was a total B about it. Went out for a drink afterwards.
Saturday: Painted part of the bedroom, started my veggie/herb garden, did TONS of weeding. Got a bit sunburned. Our dining room chairs were delivered.
Sunday: Did more gardening, went to Memorial Parade with in-laws (and 2 nieces). Went out to our old neighborhood bar, ran into so many old friends which was awesome. Stayed up till 5am (oops).
Monday: Exhausted and sore (and maybe a tad hungover), I was totally dead all day, spent 5 hours vegging out on the couch watching Keeping up with the Kardashians. Apparently there was a marathon on E!, and reaching for the remote at the other end of the couch just required too much effort. Then grocery shopping and laundry all evening.
angelfire, that's lame
I'm sorry the lifeguard was mean.
Mine was pretty low-key in general, but it did include gloriously watching the Padres stomp the Mets last night! 18-6 was the final score
followed by a very moving tribute/fireworks display dedicated to our military and the fallen heroes. During the game they also had special seats reserved for surviving veterans of Pearl Harbor and Iwo Jima - they showed them on the big screen and the entire stadium gave them a standing ovation. That was very cool too.
Other than that, I just spent time hanging out with the hubs. He had to work both days so I took my laptop down and worked next to him. I wrote a commercial for the tutoring center where I work and I started applying for full-time jobs since I'll be done with my degree this December but am totally done with classwork now.
I need a week to recover from mine I think... in fairness though it started on Wednesday night. I went to Texas for my sister's wedding, my plane was delayed by 2 hours (but Southwest gave me a credit even though it was weather related so that was good). Starting about 6 AM on Thursday, my mom, sister and I started last minute wedding stuff which didnt really end until an hour before the ceremony on Saturday. The rehearsal was scrapped when it started to pour (outdoor wedding and they were setting up for another wedding inside so we couldnt go in). The RD was a blast but we ended up going out afterward and DH lost our credit card (he swears he forgot to close the tab at the bar but they didnt have it when I called or stopped by on Sunday so I cancelled it - major PITA).
The wedding went perfectly although set up was a ridiculous mess due to too many people being hungover, not having enough time and it being about 95 degrees outside. But we made it and it was beautiful. The highlights of the wedding were the to-go dessert bar (I made cupcakes but the recipes were family favorites from B&G's mom's and grandma's and they had printed little cookbooks with the recipes for favors) and the photobooth - absolutely hilarious pictures. My 6 year old cousin was so excited "Dad - there's this room - and you go in - and you put on a hat - and this lady, she just takes your picture - as many times as you want!!!"
Somehow we got everything torn down and packed up after the wedding was over and then went to some karaoke bar for another hour and somehow got back to the hotel after getting lost with my dad for an hour in downtown Dallas at 3:30 in the morning. Sunday we got everything delivered back to the right places, rounded up lost cell phones, and got the tuxes returned just in time to get back to the airport and come home.
I think we got home around 10 on Sunday night and I was asleep within 20 minutes and woke up yesterday about 10 am. Despite doing nothing but laundry and a little cleaning yesterday, I'm still exhausted. I feel like an old person now that it takes me 2 days to recover from such a weekend.
