QOTD

Ah... back to reality.  I hope everyone had a nice holiday (or non-holiday) weekend. :)

Since most are heading back to work today, what is your current profession?

Is your current profession what you studied in school?  If not, what did you study?

If you could instantly be trained in any profession (no additional schooling, debt, relocation), what would it be?

Re: QOTD

  • What is your current profession? I work for a Big 4 accounting firm doing consulting/accounting

Is your current profession what you studied in school?  If not, what did you study? Yep, received a BS in Accounting

If you could instantly be trained in any profession (no additional schooling, debt, relocation), what would it be?  I really don't see myself leaving the profession, but if I did, it would either to become a teacher or a recruiter.  But I saw the sh!t that my mom dealt with towards the end of her career as a teacher and there is no way I'd deal with that!  It was one of the reasons she decided to retire when she did.  Being a recruiter could be cool... but I'm really shy around new people so I don't know how well that would work out.

  • I am an Administrative Assistant for a non-profit.

I have a BS in Psychology with a minor in Business. You could say that I use my degree working with some of the oddballs that I do.

Hmm. I struggle with the "what do I want to do with my life" question almost daily. I really have no idea. If money was no object, I'd be a professional volunteer.

  • Since most are heading back to work today, what is your current profession? I support safety for molecular breeding labs for a large agricultural company

Is your current profession what you studied in school?  If not, what did you study?  It was more relevant to my first position in the company (corn research)  I have a BS in environmental biology, and am currently getting my masters in Safety, so it all comes together.

If you could instantly be trained in any profession (no additional schooling, debt, relocation), what would it be?  I've always thought HR would be interesting, but for the most part, I enjoy safety.

  • Since most are heading back to work today, what is your current profession?

I do graduate recruitment and admissions for a program within a large University. I am also the internship adviser for their dietetic internship (undergrad).

Is your current profession what you studied in school?  If not, what did you study? I have a BA in English. I use my degree every day, although it didn't necessarily train me for this particular job.

If you could instantly be trained in any profession (no additional schooling, debt, relocation), what would it be?  No idea, I would really love to own my own business some day.

  • Since most are heading back to work today, what is your current profession?

    Graphic designer

Is your current profession what you studied in school?  If not, what did you study? I have a B.S. in Art and a minor in religious studies.

If you could instantly be trained in any profession (no additional schooling, debt, relocation), what would it be?

I'd be a pharmacist.  I have taken a lot of different medications and find myself doing more research than necessary on each type.  Friends tend to ask me questions about what they are taking and I get a little OCD about finding the pros and cons about each variety.

  • I'm a graduate student and teaching assistant.  So I teach college freshman public speaking and study communications.  I also do some transcription on the side to make a little extra cash.

I have a B.A. in Mass Communications and a B.A. in Speech Communications and I'm working on my M.A. in Communications.

I think I would go into advertising or public relations.  I kinda could with my majors, but I could have majored in those....so I am missing some of those classes to really do the job.

  • Since most are heading back to work today, what is your current profession?

I'm an online editor for a power engineering magazine

Is your current profession what you studied in school?  If not, what did you study?

I got my BA in journalism so I sort of studied for this. My training was really in newspaper reporting and I was a police reporter before DH and I moved to Tulsa.

If you could instantly be trained in any profession (no additional schooling, debt, relocation), what would it be?

I'm like EDK, I would love to own my own business one day.
