So congrats... you've made it halfway through the week. ![]()
(Unfortunately, it feels to me like it should be Thursday. How weird is that considering yesterday was like a Monday because it was the first day of work?!)
How's everyone today?
I'm doing ok... stopped and got myself some Subway for breakfast (surprisingly, I like their breakfast stuff and oddly had a craving for their coffee which is much MUCH stronger than the stuff at work.)
In good news, the meterologist this morning said Saturday should be a decent day; he says Friday & Sunday are going to be cloudy, rainy days. (We need the rain, and as long as Saturday's good, I don't care! LOL)
Re: It's Hump Day!
Good morning. I enjoy Subway's breakfast too! I meant to tell you guys to try them a few weeks ago and forgot to mention it.
I'm ok today. Been better. I have GOT to start getting up in the morning and going to the gym again. I feel a lot better when I do but I haven't been able to get in bed before midnight for the past week or so.
Paula: When do you hear about the job?
Morning.
MH likes subway breakfast...I've never tried it but it does look yummy and reasonably priced.
I've got a busy day ahead. I have lots to do and am having trouble getting started. I just don't know where to start I have so much to do.
Hope everyone has a good day!
I can related to every paragraph (except our house isn't midnight, but 10:00-10:30. I already have to be up no later than 4:45 as is.)
I almost tried the English muffin this morning, but caved and went for the flatbread.
The job.
Thursday evening (that's when we typically get email from my boss) I got an email saying "I want to let you know of the delay in making a decision on the position we discussed. I am working diligently thru the process and am hoping to provide you with information very early next week." I think that's just her way of saying "I can't decide." LOL
Good morning. We had more rain last night. The power went off and DH was like crap! We have a sub pump that needs electricity to run and with all the rain we've had the past few days it wouldn't have needed to stay off too long before the basement started to flood. Luckily by the time DH went downstairs the power came back on.
So Paula, you can have some of Chicago's rain. I think we had 3 inches on Monday alone.
I can't believe it's Wednesday. I feel like I have been away from the office forever. I was in last Tuesday and yesterday and now I don't go back until Friday. It's kind of nice working from home but at the same time, I feel like sometimes being int he office has its benefits too.
Anywho, hope everyone has a great day :0)
Morning.
I'm thinking of going to the gym later and either trying cardio kickboxing or Zumba. The only important thing it that I get there because I've totally feel off the bandwagon here.
Good morning!
Paula I hope you hear about the job tomorrow and don't have to wait another week!
I'm doing alright. Working from home and my mom is here to watch Declan. I'm hoping work will be slow so I can get some things done around the house today.
Mel-I hear you on the sump pump. We have the same issue here. We got a torrential rain storm at the end of Feb, the power went out and within 30min we were flooded. We are now the proud owners of a generator so in the future it will not happen again. Such a PIA.
Things are going ok here. Medical bills just came in for Bailey's arm fiasco (the one they thought was broken but was not) We had met the part of the deductible that the Y pays literally the day before the incident, so now I need to come up with 1,000 to pay our out of pocket portion. The bills just started to come in yesterday and it makes me ill. Payment plan here we come. Oh well it is always something right?
So, we advertised an open position at our firm and received some resumes today. We requested people send along their salary requirements because we have previously interviewed people who have higher expectations than we can pay.
And when I opened one of the resumes today I started laughing so hard I thought I was going to cry. The applicant requested a higher starting salary than our associates! By about 7k! (Just for reference, it was more than double what the position pays). Wow.
I recommend zumba 100%!
I remember when I was about 38 weeks and I didn't feel Declan move almost all day (or at least I couldn't remember if I had felt him move). MH got home from work and I was crying my eyes out I was so scared so he took me over to L&D and they hooked me up. Immediately Declan started kicking the little monitor on my belly and the nurse laughed and said "looks like you just have a stubborn baby who wanted to scare mom". So I'm glad baby is doing well for you and they hooked you up just to be safe! But that sucks you don't get a lunch (be sure you eat something though)!
Ugh men! (or in this case baby boys!)
