I had my second interview this morning with a senior living community... and was offered the job! It's not the original one I interviewed for, but it's a much better fit for me. Mainly secretarial/receptionist/an extra hand, but it's an entry level position that they told me would let me get to see how other positions worked so I could see what I was interested in growing into. The best part is that it's the assisted living place we're planning on moving my grandma into, so I'll get to keep a watchful eye on her now. =]
Now comes the fun part -- background check, tb test, and drug test tomorrow... Since I leave for our HM on Monday and come back next Saturday, and start the job that next Monday on the 7th!
Re: FU / AW / Woohoo!
Congrats!! That's awesome!
What is AW and FU?
FU=Follow Up
AW= Attention Whore
Congratulations, that is so exciting!!! My Mom owns two assisted living facilities and I worked in the office during HS! It was a lot of fun and she loves the business, been in it for 15+ years. I really enjoyed spending time with the residents and hearing their stories! GL with all of the testing!

TTC on hold until December
I am so looking forward to getting to know the residents; when they're that age they have the spirits of little kids again! Who wouldn't want to spend a day listening to stories and the residents playing the piano?
Thank you all; I'm so excited! =] Off to fill out mountains of paperwork and take those tests...

THANK YOU! I have wondered this for so long.
You are not alone... I didn't used to know what they meant, googled them, and ultimately ended up on the bump boards' glossary to figure it out!
