Intro

Hi everyone! I just wanted to do an intro post since I'm new to posting on this board. I posted a lot on the Boston Knot board and since our wedding in July '09 I've just been sticking to the month board.

I hope to be more active around here instead of lurking.

I can't wait for our anniversary...I can't believe how quickly the year went by. I live in South Weymouth.

Wow, we're practically neighbors! We're in Marshfield.

I know! I feel as if time is flying by which I guess is good (since I'm still in school) but on the other hand, I want time to slow down a bit.

How long have you lived on the south shore?

I've lived on the south shore for almost 3 years now. I grew up north of the city, but moved down here with DH when he moved here shortly after college. How about you? Are you also a social worker?! I am too! Small world.

I grew up in Plymouth and Wareham (divorced parents, good stuff) and MH grew up in Plymouth and Sandwich (again, divorced parents) and then we moved to Marshfield two years ago and then a brief stint with my mom before the wedding and then we bought our condo.

Where did you go to college? I am a semester away from finishing my undergrad at Simmons, in Boston.

I still have graduate school but yes, I am going to be a socal worker. Do you work for DCF? Yeah, that is a small world! :-)

I went to Sacred Heart for my undergrad and NYU for my masters. I work in a school setting now.

  • Welcome to the Boston board, Reenie!  Good to see you over here.  Big Smile

(ETA: For others that may not know, I'm on the July 09 board, too.  I'm in Braintree and moving to Canton.)

    Oh, god bless you!

I can't work in a school setting. I did it for a brief time with MR and I know that it's not for me, I just don't have that kind of patience.

I have to work somewhere I have some kind of a break i.e. paperwork from the clients (hospital, DCF, etc)
