I have had a rough week. I don't think I ate too bad when attending two different cookouts, but my weight has gone up and it has really depressed me. I'm really trying to stay on task and focus on just eating healthy and drinking lots of water, but I feel like I'm staying the same. I really don't want to feel like this a couple of weeks before my wedding, so if anyone has any positive thoughts, feel free to send them my way. How's everyone else doing?
Re: Wellness Wednesday
I'm doing good this week so far. I worked out last night and told DH that Mondays and Thursdays are my new gym nights starting next week so he's not to make any plans those nights.
DH and I ate crappy over the weekend b/c we were on the road, but I think we're back on track.
Hey feisty- I'm sorry your weight loss isn't going as well as you'd hope. That can definitely be frustrating. When pounds aren't coming off, I usually try to find other accomplishments to focus on. Are you able to walk or run further without being out of breath? Are you clothes fitting better? Maybe you are converting fat into muscle, so your progress isn't showing as much on the scale. Are you generally feeling better and more energetic due to your healthy lifestyle? I definitely wouldn't beat yourself up over a little gain because you are still working hard on your healthy lifestyle and that ROCKS! Keep your head up and realize you are going to look hot walking down that aisle.
I'm doing ok. This week I was trying to make good decisions the majority of the time, but those other times caught up with me! There was just too much eating out and temptation. But I'm hoping to get back on the bandwagon. I caught some ugly bug and am disappointed that means no workingout this week, but hopefully I'll be able to recover quickly and get back to my routine.
i did pretty bad in the eating light category over the weekend. lots of eating out and entertaining. trying to get back on the wagon this week. i'm going to spin tongiht, which i'm really enjoying. problem is that's the only exericise i've been doing recently and its only 1 night a week. that's just not good enough.
mentally, i'm just really frustruated about work and not getting that job. it's kind of made me realize that i need to move on to new things and build on my work skills and experience. my job is becoming very narrowly focused and that's not good for job hunting.
I too fell off the wagon this weekend, and I fell HARD. Like, do you remember that scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark where Indy is getting pulled under the truck, holding onto his lasso? Yeah, that's how bad I have fallen off.
Yesterday I weighed myself and I was sad to see that I weighed the most I've ever weighed before--in other words, my suspicions were right. My clothes haven't been fitting well though I haven't really felt "fatter"....until this weekend.
So, what am I going to do about it? First, I'm going to try and look at my portion sizes. I think I'm going to try and get back onto Dailyplate.com to check and monitor my eating habits. Next, Dh and I have agreed that we need to include a little more high intensity exercises into our regular workout routine. Though we're not slackers by any means, we're also not trying to change things up every day. Finally, I have decided to give up fried/battered foods for the time being. Hopefully all of this will help me lose the lbs and inches I desire, and do it at a safe pace.
