how do you clean your oven?
We've been in our house for about 6 months and I haven't cleaned our oven yet. We bought it new, and it's really just now gotten dirty on the inside from grease splatters and whatnot baked on the bottom of the oven.
It's not a self-cleaner, and the spray on cleaners kind of freak me out because of the fumes.
Am I just being a sissy? Should I just bite the bullet and buy some of the spray on kind and get it over with?
How do you clean your oven?
TIA ladies!
Re: how do you clean your oven?
I too am freaked out by the fumes from the spray cleaners so I'm interested as well to see what others say.
A few months ago I was an idiot and made a HUGE olive oil mess in my oven so I just used soap and water to clean up that situation.
Have you tried white vinegar? I use it for EVERYTHING.
I haven't tried that, but we have a ton of white vinegar at home so maybe I'll try that out. This reminded me that I have the books on uses for vinegar & baking soda. I should look & see if those have any oven cleaning tips.
This, I use Vinegar and baking soda on EVERYTHING. If I have to I use Mrs. Meyers stuff.

I tried this with our oven and was amazed with how well it worked.
