In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

"Points"?

It says in posts, under our user names, "Points" and "Posts".  Obviously I get the posts part, but what are the points and how do you get them and what do you use them for?

Also, I didn't change my username...how come my post count restarted, and several of yours didn't?  Were you laides posting on the nest before?

Re: "Points"?

  • I know a lot of ladies did post before on here. I'm not one of them. I have NO clue what the points mean. I think it is weird. I'm sure one of our ladies will know.

  • I'm not sure I like the "views" column.  It's like they're saying, "someone looked at your post but didn't want to comment."  I know that's what was happening on TK, but it was less obvious!  On the other hand, it could show us how many lurkers we actually have!

You've heard what I've done, not what I've been through.
If you were in my shoes, you'd fall the first step." <3<3

  • I don't really like that either. I mean I'll go ready a post and think it does not relate so I will not comment bc if I have nothing to say why say something. I guess I lurk lol.

  • yeah, I definitely do that too....it just looks so sad, XX views and 0 replies! LOL

  • lol yea it does look very sad. When I see 0 replies I try to go and comment but sometimes I can't relate or 3 days ago I was not allowed to post and that made me angry. lol

  • Has anyone figured out a way to sort conversations so the one with the most recent reply is at the top? This board seems to put the most recently-started thread at the top of the page, and I prefer to see threads in order of most recently-updated discussion.

Your post count doesn't carry over from site to site. I was a previous nest poster (buying a home and crafts) so I am bronze. I was silver with over 2500 posts on TK.

I just figured this out.  Underneath all our posts, there is a bunch of drop down menus.  One of them is "SORT".  If you choose  "last post date" and "descending order" and click "Apply", that should do the trick! :)

  • I guess we all better start posting a lot to make up for being newbies again!

?I don't like that the counts started over either.?
