So I started thinking how awesome it would be to not have to shave for the wedding and honeymoon...did any of you girls do this? Is it worth it? I have only had my eyebrows waxed and that didn't feel fabulous so I can only imagine how wonderful a bikini, brazilian, or legs would feel lmao!
What do ya think?
Re: waxing
I got a brazilian for our wedding/honeymoon. I'm not gonna lie--it HURT. However, I will say that I've had one twice before, and the 2nd time (for the wedding) hurt a lot more than the first. The first time I got one, I didn't think it was that bad.
I thought it was wonderful, since I'd be wearing a swimsuit practically all day, every day on our honeymoon! Definitely worth it for that!
But it did hurt, and it's not something I'd do all the time.
Never had my legs waxed. I don't think that would hurt as much as a brazilian, but I really have no idea.
I've been getting my eyebrows waxed every month for the past 12 years or so, and I'm so used to it now, that I actually think it feels good, haha.
I've had my legs waxed before and I didn't think it was too bad- about the same as the eyebrows. Although the girl who does waxing for me is awesome- my eyebrows don't really hurt when she does them.
I'm not sure I could even try bikini or brazilian waxing! I'm too nervous about how much that would hurt. But I can tell you that I absolutely loved getting my legs waxed.
Word of caution- try to do it about a week before. I don't know if it's just me, but my hair is super fine, and the wax doesn't actually catch it all. So about a week after I get them waxed, I shave my legs once and then I'm good for about 4 weeks or so. Even if you don't have that problem, it will give you a week to make sure everything as good, plus you'll be red right afterwards.

i love the brazilian waxing! i used to do it every 2 weeks, but have cut back to once a month. i would start now and keep it up so no irritation for the wedding. it does hurt, but i find it hurts less when i keep up with it.
definitely worth the pain!
I completely agree with Jen. It's worth it. the pain doesnt last that long either!
I get bikini waxes regularly. It all depends on your pain threshold and who the esthetician is. The better they are, the less painful it is. Also, taking an advil or other pain killer about 2 hours before helps. Don't get it done right before or after your period. You're more sensitive around that time.
I don't think brazilians are necessary. I think it takes way too much off. I agree that you should try it at least a few times before the big day so you know how you'll react to it.
