So, we've been back for about 2 weeks now and while the house is still a "work in progress" (i.e. a hot mess) I'm so happy to be here. So far, we've had tons of company and even hosted a Memorial Day bash for the family. DD is adjusting well to being here; I think it's because she has way more little kids to play with--back in Cali it was just Dad and I and she was getting "born" (as she says "bored) of us. LOL
Still haven't found a school for her for the summer but we have gotten on the waiting list at the BR International School for August. I'm sure we'll be able to get her into something for 3 days a week in the meantime--that way when the school year starts it won't be such a big adjustment being away from us all day long.
Anyway, just an update on what's been going on. Even though it's been raining alot...it feels great to be back!
Re: Back in BR and loving it!
so glad that it's been a positive adjustment for you!
what part of BR did you end up moving to?
If you're ever looking for something fun and free to do, kids love playing in the fountains in front of the shaw center downtown! Well most kids do, mine didn't!
Welcome back! I'm glad you're loving it
GL with BRIS! The little girl I babysit goes there (She'll be 4 this month) and it's amazing to hear her speaking English, French, Spanish, and Chinese interchangeably.
