On a happier note (no venting now)

Our garden is IN!!!  We had to put off planting due to the wedding but today we worked up the soil and planted tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant.  I am so excited!!!  I can already taste the tomatoes...

  • NICE!  I had a garden last year.  My favorites were the snap peas.  They are SOOOOO easy to grow, which makes me wonder why the *^$#@& they are so friggen expensive to buy in the store!

  • I just came in from potting a rosemary I had rooting, a couple of geraniums, and some more lettuce. It's just a little container garden, but I'm having fun. :)
  • We planted some little flowers before our wedding and then we just got two dogwood saplings (sp) and planted those in the backyard yesterday!

  • I love dogwood!  Seeing them in bloom reminds me of my undergrad years at Ohio University.  There were tons of them there.
  • Thats great! We had some tomatoes and onions started before the wedding but I forgot to have someone water them while we were on the honeymoon so they all died =/ lol I'm not much of a gardner.

  • We actually are starting to get small tomato pops on our 6 plants. Ours are in 5 gallon buckets (2 to each bucket). Tomatoes spread like weeds.

  • I really want to do some gardening but I have to email my HOA to find out what we can or can't do without their permission. :(

  • Woo hoo!!

My plants are all sitting on the patio right now- it's been raining so I haven't had a chance to plant most of them yet. Plus I have to plant them all in pots because our yard is too small for a garden. But I am still looking forward to some veggies. We are also trying watermelon and cantaloupe this year- should be interesting!

  • I wish we had a house so I could have a garden.  But I did plant a bunch of pots of impatiens for our balcony.
