Re-post from babies board: Does anyone know of some crafting/quilting charities that accept fabric donations? I opened my fabric/sewing closet for the first time in a long while and found myself completely overwhelmed by the amount of fabric I have stashed away. I would like to give it to people that could really use it before just dumping it at Goodwill, where it might just be thrown away if it doesn't sell. Most of it is from back when I was sewing custom draperies and had a handbag label, so it mostly consists of small pieces and drapery remnants. I also have a lot of really nice fabric stashed away for "some day" cocktail dresses that I now have no time to sew.
