  lucky you!!! thanks to a nice state trooper that gave me a court date on the way to our wedding...i haven't even gotten to go to the social security office yet and now the day i was going to take off to do that is consumed with driving two hours (one way) to go to court!

  I need to get on this name changing stuff. I haven't even ordered copies of marriage license yet. First order those, wait a week, then I can start the process.

  It's so exciting! I just got mine this week too!! It's a pain in the butt getting everything changed over. I'm almost done. Just need to change my credit cards, passport, and my nursing license. It's so crazy to have a new last name!

  I'm still waiting on our ML to be mailed. We should get it in the next 3 weeks, I hope. Then I will start changing my name on everything.

  I picked up our certified copy of the marriage certificate Friday afternoon and will be making my way to the SS Office this Friday to get my new card (or at least get the process started to get my new card). Then, I work right beside the DMV, so getting my new license should be painless and faily easy. I haven't started signing my new name just yet since I have no ID to back it, but I'm very excited to see DH's name on my official documents

  Oh, You're so lucky!!!  I just got our license on Friday, so I went ahead and mailed the social security forms.  I have already changed all the bills and stuff.  Just need to wait for my new ss card to do my license and then hit the bank.
