Never again
Will I be putting one of my cats on a leash. I bought one today because one of my cats always wants to go outside. So we bought a harness and figured if she didn't like it, oh well. Got in on her, she didn't really like it but we went outside. Our neighbor was outside smoking with one of his dogs not on his leash, and came up to liy, who FLIPPED. Literally. I could barely get her back inside. She bit hard on my hand and scratched me. HH is getting me some neosporin and my right hand hurts so bad! Now we're concerned that she will get angry at Chloe (who was not outside)...ugh, I wish I could have forseen this. Or brought her inside when I saw the dog.

we tried to do the same thing before b/c trixie and dixie are always at the windows and back door but the minute HH got the leash on her she FREAKED out!!

I'm so sorry that this happened to you today. I'm glad to hear that you are ok. Hopefully, if you decide to take her out again on a leash you won't have to worry about the next door neighbors dog.
Thanks Becca....but there will never be a "next time" LOL. I'm hoping i don't have to go to urgent care tomorrow and get a stitch or two...it's still sort of oozing/bleeding.
Funny thing is, our other cat...the "fraidy cat" seems to be more on edge than Lily. He had nothing to do with the whole event. Lily is currently sitting on the arm of the chair that our dog is sleeping on, so that's good. Isaiha (fraidy cat) is sitting on the landing of the stairs, contemplating what he want's to do.
