Alright I don't know if there are any on here, but I got a few questions that maybe you girls can answer...
DH and I are going to the Brooks and Dunn concert in Cuyahoga falls(sp?), since we have been to Detroit many times we decided to go someplace different. Well I need some recommendations of where to stay for the weekend. Any info would be greatly appreciated. TIA!
Re: Ohio ladies...
As Lisa mentioned, that is near Akron (pretty much where I'm from). I would definitely grab a hotel for Thur/Fri evening as close to Blossom as possible--traffic's gonna suck!! I don't know what hotels are near there b/c I've never stayed in one having lived so close--a quick search revealed: Sheraton Suites in Akron, Country Inn Suites in Cuyahoga Falls, & 2 I've never heard of, Economy Inn & Ranch Motel.
There are quite a few bars & restaurants in the Akron area as there's a university there. There's also the Akron Aeros (minor league baseball) right there in downtown Akron, not sure what the schedule is though.
I agree w/ Lisa on Great Lakes Brewing, Rock n Roll Hall of Fame....there's also the Football Hall of Fame in Canton (about 25 mins S from Cuyahoga Falls), Akron Zoo, Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, Stan Hywett Hall & Gardens....
If you are hitting Cedar Point, you may want to also check out Put-in-Bay....tiny little island w/ A LOT of bars & partying, if that's your thing.
Have fun!
