My weekend was great!
Friday night M and I went to dinner.
Saturday we went to lunch then he took me shopping for a bathing suit, which turned into 2 bathing suits a couple shirts and some accessories (all picked out by M because he's fabulous like that), spending way more money than he intended. Then we went 10 pin bowling, not my fav so we only bowled 3 strings then he took me candlepin bowling, 12 strings. M also bought me Ozzy's book, well bought it for US, he's going to read it once I'm finished. We had a Tornado Watch that day and it was cancelled not long after it was posted I think because there were NO storms in the area.
Yesterday my back was KILLING me from all the bowling we did, and because we spent way more than we wanted to we just hung out inside all day. We had another Tornado Watch which was also pointless because we, again, got NO storms BOOOOO! (I love thudnerstorms, I'm good withe tornado's but I'll take a good thunderstorm any day). M also pre-ordered Green Day Rock Band for me ::does the happy dance:: to make up for me not being able to go to the concert in August (we are already going to Aerosmith on the August 14th and OzzFest August 24th, Green Day is on August 16).
I'm thinking this Friday I'm just taking off of work because a local news station is doing their weekly "Zip Trip" to my hometown (also where I work) and I can only imagine what traffic will be like around here because of it. Why they would want to come here is beyond me, it's small and there's nothing interesting or to do around here.
Hope you gals had a fab weekend as well!
Re: How was everyone's weekend?
Sheri - I've never heard of different kinds of bowling. What's the difference between 10 pin and candlepin? Oh, and I'm uber jealous of you pre-ordering Green Day Rock Band!
My weekend was pretty good. Friday I stayed late at work and chaperoned the high school's prom. It was quite interesting to say the least. It was fun and nice to see the students all dressed up. It did make me feel old though to know I was now the "chaperone."
Saturday I went to a baby shower in the afternoon and then DH and I went out to dinner and a movie. We saw Iron Man 2. I thought it was good but I liked the first one better.
Sunday we cleaned in the morning and then went do to the Three Rivers Arts Festival. The food there is always great! Tons of vendors and you feel like you could eat for days. I have to say though I wasn't as impressed with the art displays as much as last year but it was still nice to get out and walk around.
Our weekend was good.
Had a small shower with friends on Saturday, and spent yesterday finishing the nursery painting project, wacking down an old dead bush in the front yard, and relocating litter boxes. I made fajitas too...they were tasty, but my gut disagreed.
I have to go return and re-buy the closet rod I got yesterday b/c I checked the mail when I got back from that shopping trip and found a $15 coupon to ACE when I had just spent $16 on the rod. I'm not wasting that coupon!
TTC #1 13 cycles, CP 6/09, TTC #2 1 cycle

Pregnancy Hypertension - inductions at 39w, I grow big babies: DD was 9 pounds 1 ounce 22 inches, DS was 11 pounds even 22 inches - both vaginal deliveries
10 pin = Big Balls, the ones you use 3 fingers in 3 holes, they are heavy as hell. Not sure if 10 pin is the correct name for them since both versions of bowling have 10 pins but whatevs.
Candlepin = Small balls, way easier.
Friday we went to dinner with some friends. They just got engaged, so it was nice to see them and celebrate.
Saturday DH and I got new cellphones (finally!) and ran some errands. Then just relaxed at home.
Sunday we went to my parents' house. We went out to lunch to celebrate my Dad's bday and mine (we're a day apart).
Our home computer has a nasty virus on it, so I'm hoping DH can fix it so I can work from home later this week...otherwise this week is going to draaaaggg for me!
Fri- DH and I ate at the fire house in town. It's a steak house but home townish and not as high and the chain places. But this is becoming our every friday thing, I kinda like that.
Sat.- Had to work 7-11 BOO!! Then got home and DH and I moved some more furniture to the rent house, and DH got us a PO Box.
Then we helped our neighbors move some stuff.
Then we went to my parents and picked up a dog pen for Snap and Turbo for when we move. The rent house doesn't have a fenced back yard.
Sun- Church was crazy this lady came to sing and wanted to use her own computer for the slide show which messed everything up. I was very frustrated but we made it. (I'm the one who does the slide show for our church, words to the song, verses the preacher will be reading things like that)
Then DH, I and G went to G's family get together. It was HOTT!!! Then DH and I went home rested a little and then took 2 kittens we got to the barn where I keep Cash because Mr.G(who owns the barn and land) was getting over run with mice and he needed some mousers. I also got to ride Cash Man, YAY!!! Just bare back for about 10 or 15 mins but it was very nice.
Friday, DH worked his first day of pre-promotion!! Eeeep! They are going to make him marketing manager for stores in PA & NJ, but it's going to take a while for corporate in NY to move money around so they can pay him more. For now, he's doing mainly deliveries, marketing for his store only, and any errands the managers need him to do. He is in such a good place, I love it! NO MORE SALES! I can't wait for the real promotion! We may end up moving to Jersey
, but we'll see.
Saturday, I did stuff around the house, worked on freelance, etc
Sunday, I braved 90 degrees in my car without AC to run errands, then when DH got off work, we watched the phillies & flyers lose
I have never seen candlepin around here. I would live it. I also hate the heavy as hell balls that come with regular bowling. The lightest I can use is 10lbs because of my chubby fingers. I will have to investigate and see if I can find a place that has it!
Hi ladies! I had a fun, busy, exhausting weekend
.
Friday: We babysat my sister's kids overnight, so I got a taste of what it's like to be a working mother. Holy cow.
Saturday: Had the kids until lunch, then spent 5 hours in the yard, enjoying the sun and pulling ivy and blackberries out of what is supposed to be a flower garden.
Sunday: Slept in, ran errands, priced things for a garage sale that we're having next weekend (as long as it doesn't rain!), relaxed and went to bed early.
I hope everyone has a great week!
I had a fantastic weekend as well.
Friday: DH met me and our friend at work, and we left straight for Charlotte. Dh stopped for me to get Texas Roadhouse for dinner (to go of course) which was awesome!! I haven't had it for a while and it's my favorite steakhouse! Then we went to the cafe serving our coffee to deliver more and to enjoy a few cups ourself. We just hungout and talked. We got home around 11 that night and watched some Buffy before bed.
Saturday: We got up to try for our tickets for Blizzcon (a gaming convention in Cali). We tried on the first day with no luck, but this time we made it through! So freaking happy! We are spending 10 days on the west coast to go to the event, see friends in San Fran, and then head to Seatle for a coffee convention we need to attend. After we got the tickets, we went to the pool to swim and hangout. Then we came home and played some games, walked around the neighborhood, and watched more Buffy.
Sunday: We got up and headed to Carowinds (the local theme park) with friends. We spent a few hours there at the water park. Then we went out to dinner and went to see Get Him to the Greek. It was really funny!! We weren't quite ready for bed when we got home, so we watched a Buffy then headed to bed.
Overall, it was an awesome weekend! One of the best in a while =D.
Friday, I went to the doctor with an ear infection that had been persisting all week. I'm still a little plugged up. This is odd for me because they usually come on fast and superpainful for me. I went to Big Lots and found some great cheapie curtains and rods for Scarlett's room and the guest bedroom.
Saturday, we worked on the yard all morning with Scarlett on the patio in her pack n play. She doesn't mind being in it when its outside. J wanted to go shopping, so we hit Lowes and Petco. We needed a weed wacker and a doggie door for a slider. We also got new tags for the dogs with our new address. J wanted to buy a flag, which turned out to be a bit bigger than we guessed from the package, so now our house looks very patriotic. J installed the slider. That night I had a lot of trouble getting the 360 to connect to our router (posted about that of FB). After it worked, we finally saw District 9. We both fell asleep before the end!
Sunday, we organized the garage and I hung curtains. Scarlett's room is almost done...as soon as I can find the decals I bought for her walls. It's nice to finally be able to nest. She's not that keen about being in there because she sees naps as punishment. She's a great napper when she's finally done screaming bloody murder. The poor thing hugs me desperately when she wants out of the crib. I don't know why she's so afraid of naps!
We still need to finish unpacking and organizing the office and the guest room, but after that we're pretty much done moving in. I am looking forward to really decorating...after we give ourselves a break.
I've had better weekends... but then again I've had worse too.
Fri - Negative HPT and AF arrival resulted in huge pity party and large quantities of chocolate ice cream.
Sat - Went to a baby shower which turned out to be ok. I'm so happy and excited for the mommy to be that I was happy to be there for her. Sat. the happiness wore off and I unded up having another pity party but without the ice cream this time.
Sun - DH and I went to see the movie, Killers. It was pretty funny. We did some grocery shopping and did some yard work. We were going to have hamburgers on the grill only to find out we were out of propane so I had to finish up the burgers inside.
Saturday: My brother, DH, and I went to visit our cousins that live about an hour and a half away. We wanted to meet our future cousin-in-law before their Vegas wedding in a month (youngest of the 3 girls is getting married). He turned out to be really nice and now the whole family's excited for the Vegas trip! Also went to see the new Shrek 3-D movie (awesome!!).
Sunday: My cousin (oldest) brought her boys over to my aunt's house and we hung out with them for a while. We headed home (to my mom's house) in time to watch the Lakers lose. Then DH and I headed home to get ready for the week.
