I saw in Bev's post about your fertility costs.
Does your insurance cover any of it?
Dont answer if you feel like it is too nosey!
Who let the dawgs out?

Re: Heather
You are not being nosey.
My insurance covers testing and diagnoics (sp?) but not treatments so any treatments I have to pay for.
Insurance actually paid about $700 for the shots that I have to take which I am very surprised at. We are asking them to run this procedure through insurance and who knows they might pay for some bloodwork and ultrasounds (doesn't hurt to ask).
So far Insurance covered more then I ever thought that they would for some of this so I am very happy about that. I can't imagine where we would be if they didn't pay anything.
I'll be honest this procedure is $3,993, but have asked them to run through insurance just to see as it doesn't hurt to ask. The shots cost us $1,320, which insurance actually paid about $700 as we were expecting $2,000.
So this procedure is costing us about $5,300 and that doesn't count everything that we have already paid.
I am freaking out about the money but George tells me not to worry about it and that we will get it paid off. I wish that we didn't have to put it on a credit card, but we had no choice as we didn't want to use up our savings. Thank goodness our CC has a very low interest rate or else I would be freaking out more. I actually have the shots halfway paid off so that is a good thing. I am thankful that we have all the bills from the first RE paid off
Fertility is a very expensive thing and I don't know how people do it that do IVF and have to do it more then once as it is about $20,000 or maybe more.
I am thankful though that we are in a position where we can pay it off quickly and not have to get loans and everything.
Sorry so long.
That actually is really great that insurance does pay for it. I honestly thought they would have considered it a "elective" porcedure!
I have just always wondered how people have all the procedures done and pay for them.
Good luck this round! Hopefully God will bless you with a baby after all the heartache you have been through!
And I agree the more you worry about the money they worse it is on you! I know easier said than done but it is the truth!
Thanks Carmen. I am so thankful that insurance has paid more then I thought they would. It blows my mind how much this stuff costs but it is worth it in the end.
I know I need to stop worrying about money because God has been providing and I know he will keep doing that.
