arguring but not
Do you know anyone who makes you feel like that are arguing with you, but they really aren't? Do you know what I mean? Like everything you say they have to turn it around to give the other side wheather or not they really agree w/ the point they made or not. This kind of drives me carzy! Vivi's PT does this. She's here for an hour a week and when she leaves my head usually is spinning. She's nice about it, but I always feel like she's arguing with me.

I know exactly what you are talking about!
The new teacher this year did this to everyone all the time. He knows a lot about literature but very little about how to teach and reach out to teens, esp. those who struggle. He always talked down to me when I offered suggestions b/c he said the literature I used was "too easy." I wanted to respond, "Umm...hello? Some of your students read 3 or 4 years below grade level...I know this for a fact. I had them in class 2 years ago!"
