Re: Cord Blood Registry?
we planned to collect and donate Luke's cord blood, but the dr didn't do it right and we it had to be throw out.
I've heard that it is pretty expensive to keep it and that they are not really actually sure how long it is 'good' frozen for.

Caroline - definitely do your research on this before deciding. I actually have heard a lot more negatives about it then positives and actually just saw a new story about it recently. For one, there are very few diseases, that are mostly very rare, that cord blood can actually help. Also, for the most part, if you have a disease, your own stem cells won't help you because they also carry the disease. And like previously stated, there is a lot of uncertainty as to how long the cord blood is actually good for.
