Could you plan your wedding in 3 months?

Where I'm working this summer rents out the facility for weddings and whatnot, and there's a couple in here right now asking about LABOR DAY weekend!  I cannot imagine planning a wedding in three months, especially on a busy holiday weekend.  I wonder if they've really researched this...

Re: Could you plan your wedding in 3 months?

  • I'm sure it can be done....just depends on how elaborate they want it to be or not be?!  Maybe they already know exactly what they want & where they are going to get it?!
  • Honestly... if I had to plan my specific wedding in 3 months, I could definitely do it. The thing that took the longest was actually getting my invitations ready, so I would have to be on top of that.
  • I think with enough money any wedding could be pulled off in three months.  That said, I could not do it.  :)

I think so, plus it'd less time to stress out about everything Wink

  • Well they were here trying to find a facility and said they are looking at a few more places.  They also said they didn't have any vendors hired or anything and asked for referrals.  So it doesn't seem to me like they have much of a plan in mind...

I guess if it's just a small casual wedding there isn't too much that goes into it.  But 3 months... my brother and SIL did it in 5 and they said that was stressful!

  • I definately could.  I basically planned our wedding in the 1st 2 months of being engaged.  The last 9 months was just a waiting game.  And we used it to get in better shape.  Having said that I have several friends that took a full year or more and were still freaking out at the last minute.  I guess it just depends on the person.

This exactly.  I had it all planned in a month or two and then spent another year and a half waiting and tweaking the centerpieces lol

  • I could have done mine in 3 months - it was so simple and really just involved me choosing a pre-made package from Kona Weddings ;)
  • yes i could of.  seeing that we did not plan our wedding till the day before and we did it in 10mins.

as for our AHR, i could of done that too.  i think the only thing that would of been different to make the it in time is not make our invites.

    I did.
This. I had custom letterpress invitations. I met my florist 2 weeks out. We had lighting & linens all decided on the month of. 2 of my BM'S & my mom bought their dresses the week of. The difficult part was finding hotel rooms for everyone last minute. everyone had a place to stay, but we couldn't all be at the same hotel.

  • For those of you who planned it in such a short time- what did you do for a dress?  I remember when I was trying on mine they gave me 6 week estimates and then said to plan in another 4-5 weeks for alterations.
