Women beat breast cancer everyday, right?
I just found out this weekend that my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer in February. (Yeah, we talk a lot. <--sarcasm.) This is the same sister who's husband committed suicide a year or two ago. She's only 33 and has 3 kids. This sucks.
Re: Women beat breast cancer everyday, right?
I'm so sorry! We'll keep your whole family in our thoughts and prayers. How's she doing with treatment? It's a beatable diagnosis, but that doesn't make the "C" word any less scary. Again, I'm so sorry to hear the news.
It's sort of ridiculous, yet I can kinda see how she wouldn't want the whole world to know. All of my siblings and my dad found out on the same day. My dad is really sad about it. I told him to just remember how he felt every time he got a new tumor and how he didn't want to tell any of us about - she probably felt the same way.
It can be hard to let our family and friends bear our burdens. I'm sorry to hear this and hope her treatment is successful and fast and that your family can be a real source of comfort to one another during this worrisome time.

Of course they do! As a matter of fact, 96% of women who find and treat breast cancer early will be cancer free after five years.
This is totally beatable!
Breast Cancer is totally beatable.
Especially if she's young, otherwise healthy, eats right, and works out.
Not totally science on this, but my aunt just beat colon cancer. She had about 20 extra pounds on her at the begining. The cancer said that extra weight helped carry her through the nausea, constant upset stomach phase of chemo.
Weird, I posted last night, but it didn't appear this morning.
Thinking of you and your family during this time! Your sister can do it! All the best for a full recovery from this!
Her kids are actually staying with their grandma this summer so that she can focus on beating the cancer.
Thank you everyone for the thoughts and prayers! So glad to hear that almost everyone knows someone who beat it.
The only person I know who had breast cancer died from it. But that was years ago.
