Hi,
Does anyone have an SUV they'd like to recommend? My husband's Jeep Liberty offically died last night
and we are searching for a new SUV but we are a little clueless to what we want.
Thanks in advance!
Christine
Re: SUVs
Do you need a third row or no?
We test drove the BMW X3, the Mercedes big sucker, the Acura MDX and the Toyota Highlander.
We ended up with the Toyota Highlander Hybrid since it was the same price as most of the others, had a third row and would save some $$ on gas. I preferred the way it drove over the MDX, which I felt was more truck-like.
If we hadn't wanted a third row, we would have looked really closely at the Ford Escape and Nissan Murano as well.
I got a Hyundai Veraruz Limited in February and LOVE it! It's the largest Hyundai SUV (bigger than the Santa Fe) and has a 3rd row.
I know people think Hyundais are cheap cars, but they've come a long way. It's totally luxurious and sturdy. I volunteer to drive everywhere/everyone now and have gotten nothing but compliments.
I also looked at the Toyota Highlander, Nissan Veracruz, Mazda CX-9, Ford Explorer (my mom has an Escape). Depends on what size you're looking for and what you want to spend. Have fun! I love car shopping!

I LOVE my BMW X5. I can still easily fit 2 people on either side of the infant seat and have tons of space in the "trunk." I'm short so I love that it's not super high off the ground... it makes it easy to get the baby in and out and to get the stroller in and out, etc.
Have fun car shopping! Good luck!
