When it rains, it pours $hit
This morning Mike called me and said that on way to work his van went clunk clunk and then stopped and smoke came out of it. He still owes money on it so don't know if we can get another car to replace it. Don't have any money to get it fixed. I am out of sources I don't know what to do. I have asked my parents for money - they won't give it to us. I don't know what to do. I have extreme anxiety and it's flaring up right now. We have no money, no savings, nothing. What do do, I don't know. I suggested we get another veh and he can roll the balance in of what he owes on his van. But he seems to think my credit is better than his, which it's not. WTF sorry everyone.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this. Have you guys laid out a strict budget to get your finances on track? Have you met with a financial advisor by any chance? It's often free to meet with them and they can help you with a budget and get you on a good financial path. Girls on the Money Matters board are also good with working on getting a budget.
I second this advice. I've also had some friends do the Financial Peace University program by Dave Ramsey with great results. If you're not up for the program you can listen to him online and get his books from the library.
I'm sorry to hear how anxious out you are, being trapped by your finances. I really encourage you to take hold of all the resources available to you to find peace.

We are on a very tight budget. Due to one of my income resources not being able to be there at the momment, this has really strapped up and drained us of savings. I may start that up again soon but some tests have to come back first. I just wanna go hide in a hole right now. I am going to talk to my grandparents tonight and see if they can help or co-sign for another vehicle.
Car is parked along highway right now but he was going to have vehicle towed to work I think.
If you are already struggling with debt getting a loan to buy another car is probably not a good idea. Can you drive your DH to work and pick him up again (or the other way around?) What about public transit? Can you find a cheaper place to live so you can save to buy a car? Can either of you find a better paying job? Pick up more hours until you have enough to fix the van?
It probably feels so overwhelming right now. Take some time to think through all of your options before going into more debt. I just worry that you'd only be digging a deeper hole

Thanks for all the thoughts and suggestions.
Mike had vehicle towed to wk. Per tow driver, seems like there is a leak in a hose somewhere and engine overheated. Car starts up right now but he doesn't want to drive it home at the momment. May be muffler problem too. So we shall see. Hope that this is all that is wrong with it.
Getting another car would replace the what cars we have now and it would be a payment that we are already paying, but I know what you mean.
I am talking to my grandparents tonight and see what they suggest and they may be able to help us out seeing that my parents won't.
