I'm a little embarrassed....
I'm sitting at work with bar stamps still on my hand from Saturday night. I've tried scrubbing them off, but they won't go away. I went out with a few girlfriends to a couple of pubs, one just got divorced and the other is single. They were on the hunt big time, I was DD exciting right? Anyway it was alot of fun, but now I am weirded out because I have had students coming to see me all morning and I look super classy with 3 big stamps on my right hand!

I had a busy weekend, but it was nice! DH started football camp yesterday, and he is on the "inactive injured" list for the next two weeks, because the team doctors want to be conservative with his knee. Needless to say he is not happy, and he can't participate in contact so he is just working out with the trainers on the sidelines. He will be gone from 6am-10pm every day this week so no big plans for me, just cleaning and organizing the house!

This is great! Reminds me of my college days when they'd draw two HUGE 'x's on each of your hands on your 21st birthday to signify that you were not to be served shots. Guess who got out of the 'x's!

We finished our TY notes! Okay, well there are still like 5 that we're waiting on updated addresses for... but the other 90+ are in the mail! When we finished DH was like "At least we won't have to do these again until a baby shower" which I promptly gave him the not for a LONG time look and replied "I don't plan on having a baby shower" response.
As for the week, just at work. Nothing special at all. The interns start on Wednesday and two of my CWs are supposed to be mentors for the ones joining our group. But they were both sent OOT for work this week so who knows if one of us in the office will have to fill in.

Graduation tonight! Then do my last day at my internship, my last final, and then taking a week off to just relax!
Put concealer on your hands! All the grad students in my dept teach too...and when they go out, we put makeup on their hands so they look a little more professional.
My weekend was great! Birthday getaway was so fun! Romantic and relaxing. (pics are up on my FB if you want to see).
Tonight I'm going to the SATC2 with girlfriends. Should be super fun evening. We are having a little potluck before, then the movie. Then maybe going to Dallas with DH for work again if he goes. He may not have to (I'm hoping for this. I'm ready to have a chill at home weekend). But since I don't have work (except work at home for now), I will go with him if he goes.
This is terrible for your skin, but... nail polish remover works to get off a lot of different varieties of ink.
Weekend.... H worked too much and I did almost nothing. I feel a bit like a lazy bum.
This week nothing exciting. Dealing with the BFF thing and such. I'm getting ready to make chili for tonight's dinner. Getting out the meat grinder and everything!
I never experienced that in college! Drinking age here is 18!

Did they just change that? Because we used to go to Ontario all the time to drink and go to the casino and at that time the age was 19! BOO for lowered drinking age!
Anywho...my weekend was very chill. Relaxed, played with the Wii Fit Plus, fed the monster (that's my new name for the little one lol) and took lots of naps. I got volunteered to help with vacation bible study at church so I'll be up everyday this week from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. Yippee :-/

My weekend was good until yesterday morning when I wokeup with stabbing pains in my stomach. Turns out it was the beginning of appendicitis so I had my appendix removed last night. Yay! I was discharged this morning and am expecting a speedy recovery. Luckily they did it laproscopically (or however you spell that) so no scar! They just shoot you up with co2 which apparently can give you shoulder and rib pain. Which I have. Anyway. That's my story!
I used to use the finger nail polish remover trick a time or two, works like a charm.

Our weekend was really good. We went to a wine tasting on Saturday and then went to DH's aunt and uncle's place for dinner that night. Sunday we just hung out and watched a couple of baseball games. Plans for this week: work, homework, running, trying out the new "guts, glutes, and thighs" class tomorrow night at the gym. I have golf league on Thursday (assuming no rain outs), and then DH comes home on Friday!

I have a really funny story to share about my first semester in college. Of course, I had just turned 18 and met some new friends who were party animals. Well, there is a really popular night club downtown that opens Tuesday-Saturday and one night a bunch of girl friends and I went out on a Thursday night. Needless to say I had way too much to drink and stayed out too late. What made it even worse was I had a major exam the next day at 7:30am. Gah! When I walked in class, my professor looked at me and said, 'Next time, bring some for the rest of the class and I would like a whiskey sour.' When I look back on it, I laugh, but at that moment in time, I couldn't have been more embarrassed!
He and I are on really good terms now, but he told me that day he could smell the alcohol on me and my eyes were terribly bloodshot. He was surprised I even woke up and made it to class for the test! Even though I bombed it..lol
Yeah I had that don in February. Just try to move around as much as possible to get the gas moving through faster.
I had my appendix out the same way. I didn't experience the shoulder and rib pain, but I did end up with some nasty stretch marks about 3-4 weeks afterward. I was depressed about it for a LONG time. They have faded now and if you aren't looking for them, you don't see them. Drink lots of water and take it easy! I hope you feel better.
It's different in each province! Alberta where we live is 18! Some provinces are 18 and some are 19 like Ontario!
