Just found this pic of all the recent Newsweek covers.
McCain is 5'7", Palin is apparently 5'5". Any guesses as to how tall the box was that they had McCain stand on so he could look more "presidential" standing next to her? 
ETA: Yes, I know that was snarky. I apparently need to get food....I haven't eaten lunch yet and I'm getting mean....

Hmm... I'm 5'7" and I always thought McCain seemed like he'd be more significantly taller than me.
Isn't Obama over 6'?... Michelle said she's 5'11" and I'm pretty sure he's taller than she is.
Actually, I was wrong. According to his medical records, McCain is only 5'6". Obama is somewhere between 6'1" and 6'2".
So, yeah. Box. BIG box.

oh - so - I guess I shouldn't tell you how often they put actors on boxes or in ditches to fix the height.
Did you see Zoolander? The scenes they do with his short-ass and the super tall models is amazing.
No, no, I know that they do it. A lot.
Actually, in Interview With a Vampire, they even dug ditches for Brad Pitt to walk in to make him shorter than Tom Cruise.
I was just in a snarky mood because I hadn't eaten and thought I'd point out how ridiculous it was for politicians to do it.
ditto TeamC - it looks like they photoshopped those too together. No way I am puffing out my chest like that so close to an old man, lol.
they dug a ditch for whats-her-name in Circle of Friends too so she was shorter than Chris O'Donnell. Did you see Iron Man? My guess is that Rob is like 6 inches shorter than Gwenth, lol. Dunno what hole they had to put her in to make her look that short!!!
