What's on the brain girls?
We are playing the waiting game for a job back in St. Louis. H interviewed almost a month ago, received a call a couple of weeks back and was notified that he in one of two candidates for the position. The kicker...the company went on a hiring freeze a week prior to H getting the phone call. The freeze could last two months (which is fine; he is employed here so we can wait). We would like to know what they're thinking so we can plan on looking for another job or just plan on staying here for another 6 months. ::insert Jeopardy theme music here::
Perfurme can really lift a girl's spirit! I went shopping on Saturday to update my summer wardrobe. I hate to admit it, but last summer shorts and capri's don't fit. arg. I didn't find anything that I liked and was getting frustrated. Then I walked into Bath and Body. SALE! I bought a bottle of the VS Pink perfume and got a bottle of Japenese Cherry Blossom spray for free! I feel so much prettier when I have perfume (eh, pretty body spray if you will) on.
Finally, my dog came in to the bathroom while I was showering and farted. worst. shower. ever.
Re: randoms/thoughts/this sh!t is bananas
GL on the St. Louis job! Did you happen to see any magnolia blossom while you were in B&B Works? It's usually out this time of year.
Randomness for the day:
For some reason, I'm really digging the song Landslide (Nicks/Fleetwood). Don't know why. Heard it on the radio a day or two ago for the first time in a while, and it's stuck with me.
I've been thinking about my career path, and I think that I ultimately want to go into Institutional Research.
I want some panera.
I'm really sorry about your shower this morning, but that really made me lol. I had a bathroom visitor this morning, too--only he was exploring between the shower curtains. I was half-tempted to let him fall in, but I didn't want to have to explain the scratches on my legs.
Also, I'll keep my fingers crossed about the STL job. I hope it works out!
I am having the most boring day today. Because there's so little work for me today, I've been spreading it out and working on the patchwork blankie for our (slightly) older kitty that is taking for-ever. Whodda thunk a blanket made of sock yarn would take an eternity? With my luck, I'll finish it and she'll completely ignore it.

Spill the beans!
ha! What's the story behind that?
Totally lol-ed about the shower thing.
Def. need more on the coworked crying incident...details please!
I can always go for some Panara!
And to add my own randomness...
My allergies are so bad that if I could remove my eyeballs for a bit I would. It would bring some MUCH needed relief to my life right now!
And it annoys me to no end when I am pissed off at DH and then he does something really sweet so I have no choice but to be forgiving and loving. I so don't want to be happy with you right now, stop making me smile argh! Haha
I will post details when I get home and then DD.... I'm leaving work now.
Work sucked today so much. Everyone around me must be riding the crazy train because everyone seems coo coo bananas. On the bright side though The Mr surprised me by taking me for coffee on my first break.
Sorry about the dog fart though and good luck on the SL job.
Good luck with the STL job. I'm sure they're out there, but my DH has been looking for something else for years.
He's been getting a handful of interviews lately, but there are so many people out there now, he hasn't gotten any offers. If he's in the final few, that's great! Good luck with the rest of the process!
If you do end up moving here, let us know!
This me me chuckle! And by the way, I am not fitting into most of my clothes from last summer either. Funny how not having a wedding dress to fit into can make you lazy!
Thanks for the luck girls, we are really hoping for the best!
I've become the queen of laziness, especially since I'm not working. I've been doing more walking (especially since we've gotten Nemo) and painting (gettin' my creative on), but I really need a gym, but for free.
I agree on the allergies. I need an eyeball remover, stat! Plus, I have been having sneezures all day, which causes my nose to run like a faucet.
