Re: ~poontater~

  • Ehhhh...

This is the article I woke up to yesterday at 6AM (I happened to check wral before heading to work) and the whole office went crazy with meetings after meetings after meetings...

Honestly - it is what it is and I have no control over it. So, whatever happens happens...

But I still think they should not have let their employees find out the way I did (which is how most of us found out),,, cause the meeting to announce it to us was not until 10AM yesterday.

Here is the link http://www.wral.com/business/story/7736059/ in case the clicky doesn't work

  • Umm, yeah wral "leaking" the news was bad timing since your company wasn't holding the meeting until 10.

Do you think that was planned, so the company wouldn't be the first ones blind-siding you?

Will your new employer keep a lot of you or will they let you go?  I hope your job is safe!

  • I think Wall Street Journal was the first one's to leak the information out, but I just happened to see it on WRAL.

Not sure what will happen if the deal goes through. The offer is now being reviewed by the peeps in Washington and they will let both companies know if they agree or not. We will go from there...

Like I said, I am trying to not stress about it. It is 100% out of my hands and if we get laid off, I will try to brush it off and move on. Freaking out about it will just make me sick to my stomach and for no reason....

Maybe an EMT job will land in my lap Big Smile he he

Thank you for thinking of me Smile
