XP: what summer shows are you watching?
i need some new shows. any recs? must have new episodes through the summer.
Re: XP: what summer shows are you watching?
Well, Deadliest Catch is in the middle of their new season right now. You could catch the tail end right now.
Dh has been watching Pawn Stars online and thinks its interesting (I haven't seen it yet).
I also think Man Vs. Food is starting a new season in the next week or two.
We don't get HBO or Showtime or even Netflix so I can't tell about personal experience but my coworkers enjoy Dexter and True Blood, which might have repeats (but new to you) episodes.
I don't really watch any of the network reality shows though.
My goal for this summer is to watch 10 more movies from AFI's Top 100 list. They have shorter, more concentrated lists though, like top 10 Mysteries or Romantic Comedies, etc. Maybe you check those lists out to see if there are any movies you've been meaning to watch that you could get into this summer. The short lists do tend to have some more contemporary movies mixed in with the classics.
Hell's Kitchen (2nd episode was last night)
Last Comic Standing
and I hope Big Brother will be on sometime (anyone know?)
I love this show too!
I'm watching trash TV!!! I'm just kidding, but I'm embarassed to already be stuck watching the bachelorette! I have no interest in the made-up drama but yet I end up wasting time in front of the tv for that show!
DH and I DVR The Middle for our half-hour TV binges and what we've found is most fun is to buy the DVD set of "24" episodes. I'm telling you, if you've never watched that show, you should borrow a friend's episode of "24"! It's addicting. We would get caught watching episode after episode without commercial interruption. I have been living 2 miles from my work and my coworkers would joke that I was going home on lunch breaks to get my fix of 24 for the afternoon! (I was!!!)
The new show, Persons Unknown just premiered Monday night. I watched it yesterday. It was actually really good and piqued my interest enough that I'm looking forward to next week.
Anyone ever watch Lie to Me? It also just started its 2nd season Monday night. (DH and I watched a marathon of it over the weekend and got interested.)
ABC has that new show, The Gates, that would appeal to all you fangbangers out there. (myself included)
I think that starts in a week or two, as does Wipeout.
For trash tv, I'm also DVRing America's Got Talent, SYTYCD and True Beauty.
