Hello!
We are wanting to take a family vacation to Austin in September. (6 adults, 1 toddler)
We would prefer to rent a house with a kitchen to be able to cook and save money on eating out.
We would like to play golf, tennis, swim, hit the spa if possible, walk around Austin, the lake, etc.
Would you please recommend places to stay? (I'm only familiar with Barton Creek and although it's super nice it's a bit expensive for all of us.)

Try that! I've never rented a vacation house in Austin, but that page looks like it has quite a few!
If you have any questions about specific houses you find, let us know. You know, things like location, etc.
Try www.homeaway.com for rental houses. I had good luck finding a house for a trip to NC using this site.
