Who scrapbooks?

I've never done it but I have so many things from the wedding and events I want to do something but I'm terrified.  I know that sounds silly.  What's the best way to go about doing a book?

Re: Who scrapbooks?

  • I'm actually working on my first one! I'm doing our wedding albumSmile. I played around with it in Jr. High and High School but never actually finished one. I'm really happy with what I have so far. I have an extra copy of our marriage license I'm going to put in it. I've got an extra cocktail napkin and invitation somewhere I want to add, can't find them at the moment though.

  • Amanada I adore you!!

Yes I do scrapbook! I make cards I do all of it! I started out with creative memories. That is what I suggest.

This is a great tool kit to start with.  http://www.creativememories.com/MainMenu/Our-products-and-services/Traditional-Scrapbooking/Collections/Tools-Collection-Ovals

The albums are really nice and you can buy kits with them that even give you page ideas if you have never scrapbooked it is amazing the amount of money you can spend... but the stuff from this company is awesome and if you have any issues with it you can send it back and they will replace it. You can find a local seller as well because they do parties n stuff. Going to a craft store can be overwhelming but if you have a actual scrap store near you that is a great place to start as well and get ideas to. Any questions let me know i can help

  • ugh. scrapbooking. something I always think I will do, and probably should do for, but something I never find time to do.

I have a photobook that Cashman made for me, and I have the prints from Cashman that I'm going to put in a photo album, but I do have invitations, some special RSVPs and the cards that I would like to do something with.

Maybe I'll do a wedding keepsake box. So much easier but all in one place. Wish I could hire someone to do it for me :)

  • I have been scrapbooking for about 12 years - and I am hooked!! ?I'm also a Creative Memories consultant. ?One thing you can do is look at sample pages online for inspiration. ?Just Google something like, "Wedding Scrapbook Layouts" or something, and you'll get some great ideas! ?

I'm thinking of doing a keepsake box too since my last scrapbook attempt is sitting in my closet unfinished.

  • I'm a scrapper! WE have a cricut and use it for scrapping as well. For Christmas last year I made my DH a scrapbook of our relationship, from start to present day. He, as well as his family, just loved it. I, like pp's, started out with Creative Memories and now I like to just get cute things whenever/wherever I find them!

  • I love to scrapbook. I have a cricut also, which makes it alot easier. I wish I had more time though, like pp said it is time consuming even with the cricut.
