Update to talk w/ M
So I talked with M about my issue with him telling other girls they're pretty. He said he was very sorry and he did not realize that it was bothering me so much, he just thought he was being "nice" and just giving a girl a compliment. I explained it to him and he seemed to understand. He said he needed a moment to himself and asked if it was okay if he went to the bedroom for a bit I said it was fine. After about 5 minutes of him being in there I went to the closed door and put my ear up to it (yes I'm nosey, but I was mostly concerned), and I hear him crying (yes I married a sometimes overly sensitive man) and "talking" to God (he's way more religious than I am) and asking for his forgiveness saying he never wanted to hurt me and blah blah blah. I went back and sat down and waited for him to come out, about 10 minutes later he did and gave me a hug and kiss and apologized again and said I can be assured he'll never do anything like that again and asked if I'd forgive him, obviously I did.
