What are you getting...
your father for Father's Day? Evidently it's only a week away. I'm stuck. I don't want to get him some trinket or a coffee mug or a tie, I don't want to get him a book because he never reads them, and I don't want to get him a restaurant gift certificate because his eating habits are probably killing him.
What does that leave? I was thinking maybe some CDs... but I'm not sure.

what about a nice framed pic of the two of you from the wedding? or a collage of such pictures?
I was trying to avoid anything wedding related. I got my mom a picture for Mother's Day and she wasn't too excited.

Not that this will help, but we got my Dad a nice bottle of wine and a parasailing excursion for our cruise this month. Does your Dad like to drink? Maybe some wine, or Jack, or something? Usually we get my dad a new movie and his dad some kind of tool/mr.fix-it toy.

i'm not going to get him anything this year. i didn't get my mom anything. we're all just far too broke (they have 2 daughters getting married this year..so they totally understand!). we'll go to dinner with him and spend some time.
typically though we would do practical gifts, like new garbage cans or things for landscaping.
