This is why women have body image issues

http://www.usmagazine.com/healthylifestyle/news/bachelorette-ali-fedotowsky-is-on-crash-diet-to-drop-15-pounds-201096

I get that everyone feels differently about themselves and how they look, but seriously. Does the media really need to report this? Some teenage girl that's the same size as her now (and looks absolutely fine) is going to read this, think she is fat, and want to go on a crash diet now.

Re: This is why women have body image issues

  • I watched her some this season and I didn't see anything wrong with her. I would kill for a size 6 body. My concern with crash diets is that it comes back. Maybe this makes her feel better about herself but I think it sends a wrong message that size 6 is fat

5'7" and a size 6?!  Geeze  I would kill to be double that size!
  • I love the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise, and I'll never stop watching, but I don't like Ali. I didn't like her on The Bachelor (so whiny) and I really don't like her on The Bachelorette (immature).

But I agree, 5'7" and a size 6 is nothing to be "stressed" about. Most girls would kill for that figure!

But too, it's hard to judge based on just height and size. Everyone is built differently and carries weight differently. As a fan of the show and someone who saw her on The Bachelor, then several months later on The Bachelorette, I actually said something during the premier about how she looked "fuller." HOWEVER, she never ever looked fat, in fact, I liked her face a little rounder anyway.
