So, I did it. I set the scene to his liking, the meal and service was better than any restaurant on any given day.lol.
We talked it through, he explained why it bothered him so much. He was just a bit stressed, stressed enough that it ticked him off when I brought up the conversation. I felt bad, but I really didn't know he was feeling stressed with job searching. He knows that most likely it would be hard for him to find a job down here with his work history (just imagine his resume). So, I apologized for my comment and also for kicking him when he was stressed out. I'm glad I had the cojones to do it over, because the make up sex was amazing!! lol...
Thanks to those who gave me advice, I appreciate it!!! :]
Re: Update, Re: last nights dinner
Ditto this!
Glad you were able to work things out!! GL to him on his search!
Thank you guys! I am glad we were able to straighten it out. The funny thing is, he came home with this as a gift to me:
ok, so what do I do now..lol..she is so cute though...
Are you guys prepared to take care of a dog? I fully understand the appeal to the cute and fluffiness, but I'd try to take a step back and make sure you can commit to the puppy. Even though we waited a while until we were "ready" for our dog, we were still surprised about how much work he takes.
But that was a really nice gesture on DH's behalf. At least you can see it was eating him up too that you guys were fighting.
We are, before we moved down to NC we actually had a chihuahua/pickingese(sp?) mixed dog that passed away 6 months before we decided to leave. We have different animals in the home like birds, hampsters, fish, and an iguana so we are quite comfortable with having animals in the home. The good thing is she is trained, I just don't know what breed she is. They claim that she has a mix of samoyed and something else unknown..lol..I'm going to have to call a vet and get her checked. For now atleast while DH is home (since the kids are not in school yet), he can get her used to the surroundings of our home, and I don't start work until June 21st anyway.
