Spiders...yuck

Now, I love love love the rain, but I only wish that it would leave the spiders behind.  Everytime we get a lot of rain like we have the past couple weeks, I see at least one or two spiders a day in our house.  Last night I found a big one against the wall in our bedroom and I grabbed the wasp/hornet raid and killed that sucker.  I definitely prefer spiders over roaches ANY day though, and luckily, I have yet to see one of those nasty things in our house in the year and 1/2 since we've been here.  (Which is great considering we live in GA.)

Anybody else of this issue?

When our dogs had fleas awhile back, we had to bug bomb the house a few times, and honestly that took care of any and all bugs that were in our house, and we didn't see ANY for the longest time - really, until now with the spiders.  We have a couple extra under our kitchen sink, I'm thinking we might need to use them.  (We dont have THAT bad of a spider problem, they just like to creep on in because of all the moisture outside, and I'm sick of finding them.)

Re: Spiders...yuck

  • We get a few because we live out in a new area and with all the construction, there are all sorts of critters and bugs! I haven't seen too many in the house but a few in the garage. I don't like them either but I will say, they keep the crickets out and I HATE crickets!!
  • actually we dont get many inside the house which surprises me. but we get alot on the back side of our house it faces woods. they are called wood spiders they are huge. and i get a sick kick out of killing them bc the shrivel up and fall to the ground there is a "string" on that stuff the web is made out of that goes straight to the ground. it is weird and dh thinks i am crazy!

  • I'd say we have a normal amount of spiders and bugs, considering DH and I are in GA as well. Haven't seen a roach yet this year (knock on wood!!), and probably have like 2-3 spiders a week. In early spring we had a problem with silverfish (nasty!!!!!!!!!!), but not anymore. We spray the exterior for bugs regularly.
