Visiting Calgary- ideas please!!!
My brother and sister-in-law live in Calgary. My husband and I are coming up to Calgary with my in-laws to visit them July 14-18. Every time we go up there, we just seem to sit around and visit. This time I really want to go do things and see Calgary!
So what are your favorite things to do/places to see or visit or anything in Calgary? The only thing I have seen is the Olympic Park area.

The Stampede is on while you are here! July 9-18. That is a must-do, I think.
Floating down the Bow River is fun! There are plenty of places along Edworthy Park to get into the the river.
The Stephan Avenue (downtown) walk is kind of neat. Prince's Island Park is downtown too. They are doing Shakespeare in the Park again:

Packing a picnic and a blanket is a fun way to watch it.
The Calgary Stampede is July 9-18th so you could spend some time at the grounds, see the rodeo or chuckwagons / grandstand show. They also have concerts throughout the Stampede on the grounds so if check for favorite bands / singers. And even if you don't, if you wander downtown there's sometimes things going on, although last year was a slower year for that.

Body World is at the Science Centre this summer if that interests you.
A few nice walks are Fish Creek Park or Nose Hill
And Banff / Canmore / Kananaskis.
Never mind, I should have read the other posts, I just copied what they arelady said !!
