Since I won't be able to log on tomorrow at work, I thought I would get this started now. How are the little ones in everyone's lives.
Allison is getting so big...I just can't get over it. She is actually getting a curl or two in the back. I'm thinking in another year, I might actually be able to do a pigtail.
She is starting to use more words, which is making me feel better. She has developed this really cute, sly look, esp when she wants something. I put on Toy Story this weekend and she LOVED it, we have watched it like 4 times since then. She also has become obssesed with a ABC circle puzzle. We have to do that a few times a day.
Amelia is Amelia....I love that girl. She loves making faces and rolling her eyes, She is always giggling. We brought the potty chair out for her. Right now she just sits in it while fully clothes. Its mainly to get her used to sitting on it.
I still love seeing the girls play together. It warms my heart. Brian was able to capture them sitting next to each other watching Toy Story on video. They look so sweet.
Re: Little One Check in
Aww, cute! Caleb got introduced to Toy Story (2) this weekend and is now in love with "Buzz-Buzz Lye-cheer"
His vocabulary astounds us daily. He speaks in HUGE full sentences with crazy-big words for such a little guy. This afternoon we walked by the hotel pool and he said, "There's a nice clean pool. I swim in that pool with mommy and daddy and my turtle today. My turtle swim away from me in da water."
Not even 2 yet, and is gets he/she, him/her, your/our/my, and his/hers correct 99% of the time. Some of his pronunciations are still hilariously off, though. "Hekkila" = helicopter and "Rown-gut" = yogurt are my absolute favorites. He was calling the mannequins at Old Navy today "manicures." LOL!
The other day we were outside--I with a magazine, he with a shovel and pail--and he kept asking me, "Mommy dig wif me? Mommy wanna dig? Mommy wanna dig da rocks?" and I kept refusing... until he sat back into that adorably-acrobatic baby squat, looked right at me, and said quietly, "Pweese dig wif me."
I dug.

(I'm up far too late waiting for laundry to finish)
Ben is getting huge - the kid is wearing 2T clothes at 13 months, and some of the fitted pajama tops are a little snug around his big ol belly. He isn't talking yet, but "talks" nonstop and has really picked up on the few signs I have taught him. So far he can sign and understand eat, more, hungry, and please. Though I think he thinks if he signs more anytime he sees something he wants he will get it lol.
He loves the cats more than ever, as evidenced by my siggy pic. If one of them are laying down he will sneak up on them and just lay on top of them or give them a big bear hug. Luckily they haven't tried to retaliate yet.
And lastly, he is just growing so fast. I can't believe how much he has learned in the past year, and looking through "old" pics makes me all teary eyed. Not enough to want another right away, but nostalgic nonetheless
That is the sweetest thing I've heard all day.
Logan turned one on Saturday! We had some friends and family over to celebrate. It was a nice evening. He is not talking yet but he jibber jabbers a lot and will sometimes try to repeat what we say please - peas or pah juice - jah all done - ah dah. Still no mama sounds but dadadadadada ALL.THE.TIME.
here is a picture from his party
Adorable. I love the stories.
I got to spend the weekend with my friends who have a 7 month old. The cutest thing on the planet was how he would light up when he would see his mom or dad. Then, when mom or dad would get up close to him, he would reach toward their face, grab their cheeks/side of head with his chubby little hands, and pull them to him so that they touched foreheads and just smile and squeal.
It totally melted me.
I'm full term today. Which I'm very proud of. My mom only made full term with my littlest sister due to GD with me and my other sister.
I'm so ready for this pregnancy to be over. Sleep seems non-existent due to so much pain. The only time I'm comfortable is when I'm sitting in a chair. Baby Rebel has been really active the last couple of days. If he's moving to try and get comfortable he can come on out where there is plenty of space for him to stretch out!
According to my appt yesterday he hasn't dropped into the birth canal, and I'm not the slightest bit dilated. So no baby this week.
My Profile
These are so wonderful to read! The little ones in your lives are lucky to have women who care so much about them.
Us:
We've been working with Willa on manners and not interrupting people. This means we're also working on not interrupting her. When we (and usually it's Jim) do, she sighs, and states, "I'm talking..."
Lately, Henry yells above her shouting, "I TALKING!"
Yesterday the two of them played on the living room floor for 90 minutes. They talked, they shared, they cracked each other up. It was so cool to be in another room, and observe from afar.
Love these stories.
GRSP, it's nice to "see" you.
I promise not to interrupt you if you'll come around here more often!
T is getting huge. We started putting him in his 6-9 month clothing, and one pair of shorts is already almost too small. He's huge.
He will be 5 months on Monday and he is becoming a little person so quickly. He reaches for our cell phones, our faces (he loves to grab our chins and cheeks), and he has a constant smile on his face. His legs are so strong - he loves to stand. During tummy time he lifts his body up on his knees. I have a feeling he will be crawling soon. Making and listening to him giggle is the greatest feeling in the world.
I was home with him all day yesterday and didn't turn on the tv or the computer. I could literally watch him all day. He is way more entertaining than anything on TV. He loves to explore and discover...it's really amazing to watch.
I'm trying to soak it all in since I am 99% sure he is the only kid we will be having.
Mere is awesome. She lights up any room she's in. Her latest trick is walking about 80% of the time. She's a tiny little peanut baby walking all over.
Her love for food is CRAZY. She wants anything we have and signs "more" over and over and over thinking we'll give it to her
) Blueberries are her favorite. She also prefers that we stab her food with a fork, then let her feed herself off of it. It makes for a looong, but adorable, meal time.
The radio is on a lot b/c she likes to 'sing' and I like to listen to her. She sings the most to " Hey Soul Sister" by Train.
She's still loving her Little People house and farm sets, but has now expanded her pastimes to include READING! She picks up books and toddles over to me, plops on my lap and goes, "Buuuuuuh" (book). I love it. She didn't like books for a long time and I was worried since she has more books than a classroom already. Now, The Foot Book. Left foot Left Foot, Right foot Right.
Feet in the day, feet in the night.
