Re: non-clicky poll: What's the weirdest thing you've eaten?

  • 1) Tripe.  Had it last year in Barcelona.  Not a fan, too rubbery, probably won't eat again unless I was eating dinner with Anthony Bourdain.

    2) I really want to try sea urchin and bone marrow.

    3) Used to be eggs, but I'm softening on that.  Maybe cottage cheese.  Or cereal with milk.  Yeah, I'm weird but I don't like soggy stuff.

  • 1) Weirdest thing...well I've tried every traditional Mexican food, lets just leave it at that.  I'm not a fan of most of it.

    2) Nothing I can think of...

    3) tomato juice.  The smell nearly makes me hurl every time.  I can't even be around someone drinking a bloddy mary.

  • 1) What's the weirdest thing you have ever eaten? Did you like it/would you eat it again? Cow tongue in Nuevo Laredo. We were on a family shopping trip with another family, and the father had grown up there. He swore it was delicious and the best place in the world to try it. Just to say I did it, I had a bite, but honestly I didn't eat enough to know if I liked it or not! And no, I think once is enough, so I won't be eating it again!

    2) What's the weirdest thing you can think of that you would like to try? You know, I'm not sure. However, I'm going to refrain from taking suggestions until Morning Sickness is officially gone.

     3) What "normal" food makes you want to hurl? Cottage Cheese.

  • 1) Octopus.  I would not eat it again.  And poi.  I guess poi isn't really "weird" but it tasted like paste to me.  No thanks.

    2) I cna't think of anything at the moment.

    3) Cottage cheese, sour dough bread, scrambled eggs with anything less than a 3 to 1 cheese to egg ratio.

    1) What's the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?  Did you like it/would you eat it again? A sea urchin souffle. It was delicious!  I've also eaten Rocky Mountain oysters (meh), and various raw sea creatures and things (some good, some not so good).

    2) What's the weirdest thing you can think of that you would like to try?  I don't know.  I'm not into food dares.  I kind of want to try haggis but then again, I'm okay with the idea of never trying it as long as I live.

    3) What "normal" food makes you want to hurl? None that I can think of. I'm kind of a super eater (as evidences by my a$$ Smile )

  • 1) What's the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?  Did you like it/would you eat it again?  Emu.  It was awful.  My dad cooked it like steak and it was tough and had a sour taste to it.  It makes me shutter just thinking about it.  2) What's the weirdest thing you can think of that you would like to try? Sushi....I will normally try anything once, but I haven't been able to bring myself to actually try it3) What "normal" food makes you want to hurl?  Blueberries, haha.  I love any kind of fruit almost but I can't stand blueberries.  I'm not a fan of eggs either.
