Summer Vacation Plans?
R and I are trying to plan our first family vacation . . . albeit on a tight budget . . . and I think I came up with some good ideas.
What do you ladies have planned?
I think R and I are taking Bebe to the central Ca coast. There are some dunes outside of Pismo that we have been wanting to run our FJ on . . . that would make R happy for sure. I haven't been to Hearst Castle since I was a little kid, so I'm hoping we can head there as well. I love the central coast and how laid back it is . . . R has never been there . . . and since we have points we can stay in the Marriott for FREE! YAY!

I went to Hearst Castle (and the central CA coast) when I was little and loved it! I hope to go back one day.
No big vacation plans at all. I'm going up for a girls' weekend in the Philly area with some of my friends from college. DH and I might travel up to NYC at some point to see his family. But, other than that, nothing major planned. We might try and do some day trips though.

Pregnancy Hypertension - inductions at 39w, I grow big babies: DD was 9 pounds 1 ounce 22 inches, DS was 11 pounds even 22 inches - both vaginal deliveries
And if it's your kind of thing, you can do some GREAT wine tasting in Paso Robles! My MIL lives in Atascadero, and I always love to visit that area.
Our vacation will be our trip to upstate NY next month for my bf's wedding! We'll be staying at a lake house with 2 other couples for a week, doing some wine tasting for a bachelorette, bbqing, and relaxing. I can't wait! We're also going to do a family camping trip in August with my sister and her family, and my mom.
It's not really a summer vacation, but a vacation nontheless.
We will be spending 10 days on the west coast. We just got tickets for a convention at the end of October. We will start there for 2 days and spend another day in Anaheim, CA to visit DH's aunt. Then we are traveling up to San Fransisco to see some friends (we did this once before and it was the best vacation ever!). After San Fran, we will travel to Seatle for a coffee convention and to try some cafes. Plus I heard about an all ice bar there that I want to check out. We are really excited!
If anyone has any suggestions for places to visit in Seatle, I'd love them, especially of the best cafes.
We have no plans... J is still new in his job and has no real vacation time yet.
But you have inspired me to take a random week!
At the end of this month I am going to a horse ride with my daddy in NC for about 3 days. We used to go every year since I was 4, but I haven't been in about 2 years. I can't wait to see all the people up there.
Then on Labor Day weekend DH and I are going to meet my parents in AR for the National Championship Chuckwagon Races... FUN!!!! I love going there!!
When exactly are you coming and where are you staying? I'm still learning the city, but Joe Bar on Capitol Hill, and Stella Cafe downtown are supposed to be great. If you let me know how much time you have to roam, and what types of restaurants/attractions you are looking for, I can work on some ideas for you

Ireland is our vacation, otherwise I have summer classes to take this year. Which I'm not looking forward to!
Jweat - you can't come all the way out here next month and not have a drink with me!!
We have a week reserve for just DH and us at his family's place on Conneaut Lake. We will probably invite friends up so we can take the boat out and tube if we want. It's only an hour away from home but it still feels good not to be at home.
Other than that we don't have anything planned. We might take a long weekend trip to Vegas to see my friend and her husband but we haven't decided yet.
Yes! We're flying in to Rochester on 7/18 at about 4pm, and then we have to pick up our rental car. We leave on 7/25 at 1:30pm. What does your schedule look like for July?!
No vacation plans this summer, or probably the rest of the year. But, we'll probably take a couple small weekend trips.
We're supposed to spend a weekend in Brunswick/Savannah GA with one of my college friends and her husband and daughter.
We'll probably visit my brother and SIL sometime soon in S. Florida.
That's about it. I used a lot of time to go to Virginia for a week in Feb. when BIL and his wife had a baby, so now I'm trying to regain some for a rainy day and if we get pregnant (our time rolls over each year at my company).
I'm a wee bit late here, but...
we just got back from our Bermuda cruise-will have to post that later... interesting, but relaxing...
next month, we are going camping w the kids to Gettysburg...
I think that's it with a few day trips here and there---the beach, visit Grandma, visit w other relatives...
I have some friends that want to do a girls' trip in October... depends on job situation at that point
