It's for Spectrum's Visiting Nurse Association, and it's 3rd shift home care. I'll be seeing scheduled patients part of the night and early morning, then be on call the rest of the night. I'm super nervous as I have never done home care, nor have I worked 3rd shift. I'm still not sure how I will get any sleep since I have Ben all day, but hopefully I will survive. After 6+ months of applying for jobs, I am just glad to be employed again! I start June 21st
Woohoo!
Re: AW: I GOT A JOB!!

Congratulations!
But ditto LVila on the daycare. Ben's probably not going to want to sleep during the day (straight through) like you will need to. I wish you well on the transition to working overnights. I hope you have an easier time with that shift than I did!
Congratuations!
Whoo hoo!!! I third the daycare idea. PLEASE don't do that to youself, trying to stay up all day after working all night. You will burn out quickly and it won't be good for the family. I know it is tempting to try to do that for budget reasons.
Are you works 12's so only a few days a week. Maybe you can get a college student to come in for a few hours a morning or find a home daycare that cost less than a center.
Yeah that's what I am thinking too - at least part time. I am going to see how it goes for a few weeks since I will probably be able to sleep a few hours in the early morning, then nap when he does during the day. I really think he would love to go spend some time with other kids at daycare though, so I am going to look into places in the area
It is 12's, but since a lot of it will be an on call basis, I still work 5 days a week, M-F. Crazy schedule, but better than nothing. I have a call in to a friend who just graduated from GVSU to see if any of her buddies in the area would be interested in watching Ben here for me. So we will see!
