FitFlops/Tone-Ups?

I keep thinking of checking these out - not so much for the "workout" but more to keep at work so if we want to walk around (indoors or outdoors), I can quickly slip into them.

Since the tennis shoe types are supposed to be super comfy, that's I'm hoping the FitFlops are also (and the benefit of having them.)  I often wear flip flops/sandals to work and have walked probably a dozen times or so when I shouldn't have while wearing regular sandals... often times the pads of my feet get super sore.

So a flip flop that's super comfy and meant for walking?  It seems ideal... no socks to screw around with.

Anyone try something like this or even try them on?

Re: FitFlops/Tone-Ups?

  • I have FitFlops.  I love my FitFlops and wear them all the time (when I'm not at work since they don't really go with suits...ha).

When I got my first pair I read the "warning" label that says not to wear for more than an hour your first time wearing them and I laughed thinking I can totally wear them longer, I'm in good shape.  Yeah, bad idea.  Wore them shopping and we walked and walked and walked all day long.  When I sat down in the car to drive home, I had spasms in my legs!  It was pretty funny actually.  Anyway, after that first time, I haven't had any real problems wearing them.  I guess what I'm trying to say is if you get them, take the warning label seriously... :)

  • Since you're not looking to get supermodel legs from them, I'll skip the spiel about how the're a gimmick.  Stick out tongue

I have heard that they're super comfortable though...I've never tried them myself, but lots of people have raved about the comfy-ness of them.

Damn you Nest for screwing up my siggy!

  • I've never seen these but if they are like the Shapeups I would think they'd be super comfortable.  I tried a pair of shapeups on last week just to see how they look (I think they look weird) and was amazed at how comfy they were.
