Anniversary Surprise! (AW)
My DH is so awesome.
We both had discussed planning something for our anniversary, but since I'm only working part time over summer and since we have a LOT of big events at the end of summer, it seemed like we weren't going to be able to do anything for our anniversary. We toyed with the "stay"-cation idea, but San Diego is flippin' expensive, even if you're not factoring in hotels.
Well, DH just called me from work to inform me that he's booked us a two-night stay at a bed & breakfast in a nearby mountain town for the weekend of our anniversary! Our room is actually a mini-suite with a private entrance and an in-room couples spa tub.
Since DH took care of the room, I'm in charge of planning activities. We're going to a wild animal preserve one night. I just need to plan the rest of Saturday day, all day Sunday, and possibly a bit of Monday (we check out Monday morning -- our actual anniversary -- at 11:00 a.m. after breakfast).
SOOOOO Excited!
