My favorite band came out with a new cd this week.
Who is your favorite band/artist?
Have you ever seen them in concert?
Any interesting stories to tell from that?
Re: QOTD
My favorite band is Hanson. Yes, the MMMBop guys...but they have matured into a great style of music.
I have seen them in concert twice, and hope to see them again soon.
When my friend Liz and I drove 9 hours to see them a couple years ago, I also was writing a piece about them in our college paper. I got to meet them and talk to Zac Hanson after the concert. It was awesome.
I like a lot of music so I have a lot of favorite artists for different reasons. It's hard for me to pick just one.
I saw Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation tour, and for my 16th birthday my brother took me to see Jay-Z. When Janet came to Tulsa, DH and I went to see that (DH is OBSESSED with Janet. If she were crack, I would have to put him in rehab he is that bad!) and Jaime Foxx came to Tulsa too which was really cool. Maybe two other concerts but that's about it.
Funny story: Speaking of this recent Janet concert DH and I went to, if anyone has been to or heard of any of her concerts, at one point she pulls someone out of the audience, brings them up on stage and does...um...unmentionable things to them. So when this time came, DH (we weren't married at the time) started yelling and screaming like a girl to be pulled on stage, which says a lot because he has a deep voice. Of course, I gave him the side eye the rest of the night but I have learned to accept that I will always just barely place higher than Janet Jackson in his life. :-)
