I know I look young, but geez...

DH and I save our coins in a jar from when we get change back, and I sat down last night to roll it all since the jar was full. Well I just went to the bank to deposit the money and the woman behind the counter looks at me and asks if my father could sign the deposit slip also. I must've given her the strangest look because she followed up with "this is your father on the account with you, right?" I busted out laughing and explained to her that it was my husband. The poor woman was really embarassed, but seriously?!

Re: I know I look young, but geez...

  • I have a "young" story too...

I was coaching an Allstar Cheer team (this particular group had the oldest child at 13) and we had an out of state compeition.

I drive to the hotel, park in front and walk in with the other coach. We say we need to get our room and we're propmptly asked who our parents were. We mention we're with the cheer team and once again we're aske which parent's room we're in. At this time, we look at the person behind the counter and say we're the coaches. I'm sure there was a look of shock on the person's face. I'm pretty sure we didn't look 13 ( I was 23  and the other coach was about 29 at the time).

  • haha! Just remember that looking young now will benefit you in the future.

    hahahaha! hilarious!
  • My DH looks very young too. Census workers came to our door b/c we hadn't filled it out to their liking and DH told them, truthfully I might add, that he had JUST spoken to another census worker to complete what info they might need.

She apparently didn't like his anwser and asked if his parents were home.

    HAHA.

  • On the other end of the spectrum, when we were ordering our wedding invites, my mom was there w us. We were talking about the fonts for our names and for my parents names. The woman says to dh, no your name will be in this font ( indicating the parent font). We were like, uh no, this is the groom. She thought dh was my dad!!! So funny. I mean he is 8 yrs older than me but he does not look that old! Poor dh! Maybe my mom and I just look really young. ;-)

  • I look about my age now, but when I was younger I looked really young. I got the "12 & under" kid discount until I was 22....
