Super gross question
Can maggots begin from dampness on concrete? The door from our garage to the patio leaks and I just went in the garage and saw a bunch of white little wormy things. 
I don't think they are termites because they look more like worms with no definitive head. But OMG gross! Any other ideas on what they could be?

Yep - if the grounds been moist and dark for a day or so, its perfect conditions for them. EEWWW.
We had this a few times in our outside garbage where the rain got into the garbage bin and brewed for a few days. BARF.
