A question about the Trans-Canada Hiway
Hi Ladies-
My family and I are traveling to Nova Scotia in a couple of weeks and will be driving through NB from St. John to New Glasgow in NS. I was under the assumption that the TCH was a major highway, that is, mutliple lanes and divided. I heard today from somone who was there 20 years ago that it's undivided with 1 lane in each direction and a passing lane in the middle. Help a clueless American out, what do I expect north of the border?
Many thanks- G
Re: A question about the Trans-Canada Hiway
Lucky you! You're going to have such a great vacation
I actually live in Saint John, NB now (as of this month, actually!!) but am from Nova Scotia. The section that you will be driving is almost entirely divided. There may be one or two small sections where it isn't divided, but there are most definitely passing lanes in both directions.
Will you get to Cape Breton at all? I would highly recommend it, it's gorgeous there!! (Not that I'm biased or anything, haha)
Good luck!
