Vent
Ugh. As most of you know, I was laid off in January. My school still isnt telling us who is going to be rehired yet. I had an interview last week. fingers crossed.
If I don't have a job, we cant afford out current rent, so we told our landlord that we wont be renewing. Our lease is up the day before we leave on our honeymoon.
Now, we're getting emails about showings, and I get choked up every time. We have two tomorrow.
I'm most worried that we arent going to have anywhere to live, and we might have to **gasp** live with my parents. ughhhh

The interview I had was with an alternative high school about 40 minutes away from the town we live in now.
That's part of the problem, we don't know exactly where to look for an appt until I have a job!
But I guess I have to look at it as the worst that can happen is that we get the government insurance, and I try to find tutoring jobs somewhere.
Oh Alise, I'm so sorry. When are you supposed to find out if you're rehired? I'm definitely going to be thinking of you and sending you lots of "job getting" vibes.
I'm one of those "everything happens for a reason" people, even if that reason isn't the most apparent thing in the world. Somehow it'll all work itself out way better than you thought it could!

They keep telling us, "you should know by X date"...but nothing so far.Right now, they're saying the last day of school on the 23rd.
I definitely agree with you that everything happens for a reason. If I do have to find another job, at least it was after my first year, and not when I have more time invested!
Ugh, so frustrating. Let us know what happens on the 23rd!
And you're right, thank goodness you didn't have that much time invested. I like to think that the more tough stuff we go through when we're young, the easier life is when we're older. I'm sure it's not true at all, but I like to pretend!
