Spinning off Jen's post

Would you ever want to plan a reunion/anniversary trip with all your wedding guests and do it all over again? DH and I think about doing a reunion/anniversary cruise all the time to include all our original guests and some fun friends and relatives who couldn't make it the first time. Does anyone else ever think of doing this?

Re: Spinning off Jen's post

  • Nope!  I think DH and I would love to take a cruise every year but I would never want to get everyone together again to relive the moment.  But I didn't particularly like my wedding. LOL

  • I totally would, but in a few  years.
  • I would totally do that if we did a cruise, but I wouldn't attempt to get people in Key West again.  It is pretty expensive to get there and spend time there, so I know that, like the wedding, hardly anyone would go.
    Anniversary
  • We are planning to go back to the OBX next year, same time with a bunch of our friends.  Everyone loved it and we want to actually enjoy it!!!
  • no. so many people have suggested we do an anniversary trip and invite all of the guests. not gonna happen.

  • No. Being around my family is too stressful. My sister has brought up that us and our siblings plus our best man should go back sometime, which I would like. On our trip I felt like there was two groups. The older people wanted to go to museums and sightseeing while the younger ones just wanted to go to the beach and drink!

    Anniversary
  • Yes! And we actually are in a way. The cruise we're going on is our friends honeymoon. They invited everyone to come along since we had such an amazing time in Jamaica. The majority of the guest list is the same.
  • We are planning to go back to Puerto Vallarta for our 1 year anniversary, but we are not getting the parents to go with us again. My parents would love it, DH's will probably never go back, they just aren't traveling type people.
    Anniversary
  • 100% YES!  We had such a great time with everyone, both friends and family included.  Everyone who came to our wedding was pretty laid back so there was no real drama with trying to have to please every single person.  It would be amazing to go back and not have to plan any aspect of the wedding this time, it would be pure relaxation :)
  • Maybe. Our wedding was just immediate family - so it was just so nice for everyone to be together, but we could do that someplace in the U.S. for a week (as long as we have separate living arrangments - otherwise WAY too much stress!)

  • We would love to go back with a smaller group, but we had a hard time seeing/fitting in EVERYONE when we got married.  Not to mention divorced parents and all that. We would love to go with a few couple friends or siblings etc. That would be amazing!
  • I definitely want to go back to St Thomas again, we are considering it for our 1 year anniversary! We are definitely going somewhere for our anniversary, but I don't want to do it all agian with all my family! My family is stressful and I felt like I needed to entertain them or check in on they constantly and I want our next trip to be just me and DH

  • Our families talk about it all the time. I wouldn't be surprised if we did at some point. It's pretty easy to get everyone to Laguna Beach, so I don't see why not!

  • Yes!  We are actually planning on having everyone back out in Vegas for our 5 year anniversary.  We had so much fun last time, would have to have more time with our guests since the wedding won't be in the "way"
